WHAT ARE
CHAFER GRUBS
CHAFER GRUBS
Chafer grubs hatch in the soil. They are the larvae of chafer beetles. Depending on the species of chafer they either feed on rotting plants or the roots of grass and plants. There are several species that feed on the roots of grasses and can cause problems in lawns. Because they hatch in the soil, severe damage can occur when birds and animals rip up the grass looking for grubs to feed on.
